Sure, it's for her, but it's more for the authenticity of her work. She wants it to be special down to the last detail, and this famous designer she had found on instagram of all places was willing to provide her with that - for a price. Measurements were sent and they had skype calls back and forth through the process. The waiting game was excruciating and when the shipping address was finally sent, Frankie spent the next week checking her phone impatiently. The final product, pulling the rustling blue fabric from the enormous box, was more incredible than she could have thought possible. To this day a wedding gown has yet to make her feel the way seeing Cinderella's dress for the first time had. The adults had a room in the back, disguised by a magic mirror door, full of space to hang their costumes at. This was the first one that could make the dressing room feel complete, and handing it in the cubby - with the name "Cinderella" written delicately on a small chalkboard above - made emotion swell in her throat. It was a physical representation of her dreams coming true. The gown fit as perfectly as Cinderella's glass slipper did, and she stayed zipped up in it until it was dark and she had to go home, twirling and watching the fabric rustle. After fielding questions asked again and again by the little ones of where Prince Charming was, Frankie made a rash decision (fueled by a half a bottle of riesling) to order her boyfriend a costume of his own. "Please don't hate me.." She had pleaded with her best grin, presenting him with the cubby he had all for himself. "You don't have to, but the girls were asking.. And I got a discount for ordering the second one." Frankie knew what she was asking of him and never actually asked but on the opening day when he managed to surprise her in the costume, Frankie's heart had never been fuller. custom party favors from banners to chalkboard designs, once upon a princess will make sure the birthday babe feels special. jellyfish stations here the girls and her friends can get their hair and makeup done to make sure they get the royal treatment. there are a number of wigs available for use as well! jellyfish stations the princesses can have some one on one time with their favorite characters while getting pampered. table time included in the packages are all of the amenities needed for matching parties - including tiaras the girls can take home and eye patches and hooks for the boys. tea room tea time with the princesses will include basic etiquette lessons, tea, and macarons from level up bakery. sweets and yummies everything sugary and delicious is provided by becca's level-up bakery and dietary restrictions can be accomodated for. storytime at home if the client wishes, the princesses can pack up and make a special day right in the comfort of your own home. storytime in the studio our actresses are trained to field the most colorful questions from the little ones and all have extensive experience with children. singalong time back by popular demand, singalongs are a way to get everyone involved. and yes, we will still sing let it go. the wardrobes we have costumes for the most popular disney princesses and are constantly expanding our collection. from mulan to tiana, ariel to alice, we have the dress and size to fit most girls ages 4-12. the boys have selections of various pirate garb in the drawers below. the wardrobes and yes, we have many elsa and anna dresses. the wardrobes by popular demand - we now have victorian style dresses and masquarade masks for a unique party experience. games and playtime from "mickey says" to "captain hook toss" everyone will have fun until it's time to say goodbye. client referrals there is a referral discount, a repeat offender discount, as well as various different packages to fit any size party or budget. the more princesses present, the higher the price, but there's always a chance we might show up anywhere to surprise with a little magic. queen elsa Getting her hands on an Elsa dress was nearly impossible. The business officially opened in November of 2013 - the same month the newest animated movie was released. The parents went crazy and she got at least twenty calls a day asking for Elsa to be at their birthday parties. All of a sudden it was overwhelming and Frankie was begging her designer to commission a gown for the ice queen. "Please, I'm dying over here. this will make or break me," was her final plea and the check was cashed the next day. "Babe, I'm sorry. This is research." She explained to her boyfriend when she sat down watching every clip of the movie she could find, by legal or slightly less than legal ways. The authenticity was important, they would know a fraud who hadn't seen the movie. They needed to believe she was the real Elsa. By January she could finally update her website that yes, they had an Elsa and yes, the girls could dress up like their favorite sisters. The frenzy was everything that it was chalked up to be, and making the little girls that happy to see their favorite queen was enough to remind her that she had made the right choice. This was what she was supposed to be doing. |
